Hydro-alcoholic solution

The WHO gives a recipe to prepare 1L of an hydro-alcoholic solution. However this recipe targets druggists to prepare large quantity of the solution. I calculate a recipe for home made preparation.
In the WHO recipe the alcohol is 96º. Most often, consumer can only find 90º alcohol. I adjusted the recipe accordingly to have the same alcohol degree in the final solution.

Mix up in your container:
  • 100 ml of 90º alcohol
  • 1 small spoon of 3º hydrogen peroxide (eau oxygénée)
  • 1/2 small spoon of glycerin
  • 1 small spoon of cold boiled water (2.5 spoons if you use 96º alcohol)
In case you only have 70º alcohol you should not add water but beware the total alcohol degree of the solution will be lower than the WHO recipe.
